I have a MS Access databse Ver 1.x? I am wanting to transfer the data to MS Office Access 2003. I have tried all the obvious routes, to no avail. Does anyone know of any application that would enable me to view or get the data out of the older version of Access?
I assume that you have tried opening your version 1 database in Access 2003. I have only got up to Access 2000 but when I had an old Access database I opened it in the new version and it automatically updated. The problem is that you cannot go back ie a database created in the newer version of Access cannot be read by an older version.
Created a database in Access 2003, transfered to my pen drive to work/update the database on my laptop, also running Access 2003. Transfered to new updated database via my pen drive back to my PC and now the database won't open.
The error reads;
The Microsoft Jet Database Engine could not find the object "Databases". Make sure the object exists and that you spell its name and the path name correctly!
Has anybody any ideas? Downloaded the Access 2003 Conversion Toolkit, but I don't know what to do or if it's any help to me?
