MS Access - Reports/Labels

  gmh 18:23 19 Sep 2008

When I create a Label Report, how can I miss out a line if, eg, an addressee has only one address line, while others have two before the City line? something similar to the TRIM function but covering more than one line. I don't want to have a blank line in the middle of an address as follows:

Mr Joe Bloggs
100 Church Road

Mr Fred Smith
The Cedars
20 Hill Street

Think that you'll need to set the text box properties "Can Shrink" to yes see click here

That's done the trick - in fact CanShrink was already set to YES, but I had a wee picture on the label (Christmas Labels!) so that stopped it shrinking, as it overlapped the same row as the text box, even although it didn't actually overlap the textbox itself. The article you sent me to explained this clearly.
Thanks a lot - I can always trust PC Advisor Forums to come up with the solution!

Glad that it is sorted.
