MS Access problem

Hi all

I have a database for people who use the community gym, there’s about 500 + people on it with various dates of birth and I need to run a query to find out how many people use the gym under the age of 20. In the criteria I’ve been putting */*/ 1989 but it doesn’t seem to be working as it’s giving me dates greater and less than this!

Any ideas please

How about <01/01/89

In your query design matrix, use the criteria...

Between #01/01/89# And #31/12/09#

You need to put the # either side of the chosen date to let Access know that it is handling a date field.

You can see a typical example in the sample Northwind.mdb, provided with Access, in its Quarterly orders query.
