MPEG 2 Question

If you create an MPEG 2 File in one programme saved as an MPEG On Hard Drive then use a prog such as Nero to copy the file to a CD does it copy over as an MPEG 2 File?

This is not as daft a question as it seems as Nero can't create an MPEG 2 (svcd) file but I assume that that what it can't really do is encode another type TO mpeg. In other words it will burn the file but won't if told to burn an svcd without buying the update.

Question is relevant as it seems that some copy progs disable Windows CD Burning which other software also relies upon, so ADOBE will create file but states that I do not have administrative rights to burn but would I like to save to my docs.

I use Pinnacle to create MPEG2 files, and then Roxio to burn them to VCD. Is this the kind of thing you're wanting to do?
