MP3 Player in WinXP

I have an MP3 player that refuses to work in XP. It will find the device in DevMgr but only as a USB2.0 Flash Drive and then it asks for the driver which I don't have and cannot seem to locate (even using Windows Update)

However, when I put my friends player in XP found it as a Generice Mass Storage Device and then simply allowed me to drag n drop files onto the drives letter in Control Panel

Is there and way of making XP treat the first player as a GMSD?

I have a "creative Zen jukebox" which connects to an XP PC via USB2, but this requires Creative's own programme to transfer between the two. I would suggest you contact the manufacturer (or website?) if you do not have the manual / drivers supplied.
