MP3 Flash Drive upgrade

I have a 1GB MP3 player that plugs striaght into the computer.
I no longer use it as a MP33 player but just as a memory stick. I would like a memory stick with more memory.

Any normal person would go to the shop to buy one, but i am a very sentimental guy. Therefore i wondered whether it was possible to buy a memory stick with more memory, then open up both memory sticks and swap the memory around so that my memory stick will have the same amount of memory as the new one.

Thanks.

Most memory on flash drives and Mp3 players are soldered to the circuit board and not

Changeable

But could i not just switch the circuit boards around?
