mp3 assistance from radio to PC

  frederick-285905 10:00 21 May 2009

I have a Thompson mp3 player which used to record from it's own FM radio 4 material, save to its drive for playback later. However this has in no longer functioning and a repair is not possible. Is there any software I can purchase to record from my PC in mp3 file form. As a silver surfer I enjoy the afternoon play in the evenings.

Thanks for any help.

You can could catch up on iPlayer click here or click here but if you want to record the shows one way would be click here.

I have used Audacity in the past and it is a very good little program. You may not have to convert it to Mp3 your Thompson may well support Windows Media or wav files(most mp3 players do).

Replay Radio records most radio streams and will output to a variety of formats, including mp3.

Often on the PCA disc so may be available as a download on the PCA site.
