Mozilla Firefox does not recognise Flash player.

  pcbobby 16:01 03 Sep 2008

I have installed the latest version of Mozilla Firefox.
When I try to watch a video clip on BBC news, the following message appears.
‘You do not have the correct version of Flash player’.
I click the Download here’ tab, and subsequently install, but for some reason, Firefox does not recognise the Flash player, the above message still appears.

Any answer or solution to the problem would be very much appreciated.
Thank you.

You might want to try and uninstall the old flash player first click here and then reinstall it.

click here is the Mozilla flash help website.

There are two versions of Flash Player - one for IE and the other for Firefox etc.

Stuartli. Thank you for that, I did not know that there were two versions.
