I have just changed over to Thunderbird from Outlook and am now being plagued by spam - my e-mail accounts work fine, but the junk mail filter just refuses to work - I have (to the best of my knowledge) done everything correctly to enable the junk filter (following the instructions on the Mozila help site) nevertheless, the junk keeps pouring in and although it is highlighted as junk in my accounts it is not automatically moved/deleted - has anyone got any ideas please.

I am running Thunderbird v2

Go to tools>account settings>junk settings and make sure you apply the settings to the correct account. It is easy to apply them to the wrong account and then nothing happens.
