hi everyone, just wondering is it worth getting a SATA drive for an storage upgrade or shall i just stick to the normal 3'5 drives?

please tell me some reasons to or not to get SATA and recommendations if so.

thanks

SATA hdd's aren't that different to IDE(yet)performance-wise.Most software will run on them(I say most as hdd apps often don't recognise a SATA hdd,DriveImage does/TrueImage doesn't)XP + NTFS filesystems are the setup to use on them,as FAT32 cannot "see" the full range of space usually available,9* OS is harder to install onto SATA,XP simply asks for the SATA driver during the 1st few mins of an installation.
