moving emails from one provider to another

My ISP used to be Orange/ Wanadoo using OE6 to download emails. I have now changed to Talktalk using Windows Live Hotmail for my emails. I can still access and read my old emails that were received via Orange but I cannot forward them to my Hotmail account because Orange have closed my account. The import/export function doesn't seem to cover this scenario but there must be a way. I can transfer them to a folder but cannot see then how to read them into the Hotmail account. Could anyone help please.

Many thanks

If your messages have already been downloaded into Outlook Express, there is no reason why you cannot forward them to any email address you choose - your Hotmail account or any other. However, in your Outlook Express *outgoing* email settings you will have to replace the Orange/Wanadoo SMTP server with the TalkTalk one, which is SMTP.TALKTALK.NET

This mail forwarding process is totally independent from Orange, so the fact that you've closed your Orange account is immaterial.
