mousepad help needed please

  Super Frankie Lamps 17:07 16 Oct 2006

i have just re formatted my laptop and re-installed all of the drivers sent on disk when i originally bought it. however, i can no longer single or double tap my mouse pad and can only use the keys. any idea if this is down to a setting in windows or will i have to find a driver from somewhere?

its a synaptics touchpad in an hp pavilion 7 series laptop.

you have to install the software that the touchpad needs. you should be able to download it of the net if you know the name of it.

Have a look at the touchpad settings in control panel,

That is where I "disabled" tap on my HP.
