Mouse settings in XP Home

  dewskit 10:32 19 Jun 2003

I have a friend who has just acquired her first computer, and she is having problems getting the mouse to respond to clicks, also 'runs out of mousemat' quite often.
I felt that adjusting the mouse settings in Control Panel would be helpful to her - but how does one access them?
There does not seem to be anywhere to do this in XP -the first time I have ever encountered it incidentally - cannot see anything remotely useful in the displayed icons

Thanks in anticipation

goto control panel, and in the top left hand corner if it says switch to classic view, click it

and then look for mouse

Thank you - never noticed the option the other night. Will check it later today

Or go to control panel, click on "printers and other hardware", mouse Icon will then be displayed. j.
