Mouse Setting

  Big Trev 11:29 21 Oct 2006

I'm embarrassed to be asking this, but I've just had to reformat my hard-drive and I've forgotten how to set up the mouse how I want it - one click to open etc.
Can one of you please point me in the right direction?

Control Panel>Mouse may help.

Control panel. printers and hardware, mouse.

That was the first place I looked. It's not there.

Try using `Search` with the keyword `mouse`. You may have moved it.

Failing that `Help & Support`.

Failing that go to `Start>Run` and type `sfc /scannow` without the quotes but including the space between `sfc` and `/`. You will need your XP disk handy as you will need to insert it.

Hope something works. I`m out of ideas other than an XP repair.

Try to My Documents, tools, folder options. Under the general tab, there is an option to enable a single click to open items

Have you installed the mouse drivers?
