Hi, I am reinstalling windows 7 on a computer that is less than two years old. 64bit quad core processor 1gb Radeon hd 6800 graphics and two 900gb Hard drives. Also has 8gb memory. When I started the install, the mouse and keyboard were lit. It finished the installation files and then the first screen came Up which said Starting Windows. This is when both the mouse and keyboard lights went out. I am using a portable mouse connected to the front USB port at the minute. Any ideas. I have never had this problem before. I've built several computers in the past and experienced no major problems. I've also removed CMOS battery to clear CMOS but still no luck.

Sorted it although I've never had to do this before. I ran the drivers off the motherboard cd and all is up And running. Usually it finds drivers when it starts the install....... Weird. Thanks anyway to everyone who viewed. Cheers
