After a fresh install of XP Pro about a month ago I have found that after using hibernate or stand by, my mouse freezes and I have to do a re-boot. I have altered the USB power options in the hardware profiles and also updated to the latest drivers for my mouse(Logitech MX700 cordless optical). Still the problem persists!. Any new ideas anyone?

You said that you've altered the USB power options in the hardware profiles - do you mean you've done the following?

In Device Manager, expand Universal Serial Bus Controllers, right-click each USB Root Hub(s) [I've got 3!] & select Properties. Go to the Power Management tab & untick 'Allow the computer to turn of this device to save power', & press OK. Note that you may have to do this for EACH USB Root Hub listed. Reboot, even if it doesn't ask you to, then check to see if the problem still occurs. G

Yep, thats what I did and still the problem persists. Also looked at the power management in my bios and still no joy.
