I have an asus k8v deluxe mb which i have flashed from version 1004 to 1008,My question is whether I can install an amd64 3700 cpu.The only information i can gather is that i need bios version 1007 to install amd64 3700,I found this out after using asus update tool which only gave me the option of 1008,Have i installed the wrong bios?..Thank you in advance

Are 1004 - 1009 / 1007 version numbers? If so, then the later the better I suppose.

But I am not an expert...

I haven't verified your information on the Asus site, but usually a later version of BIOS will include all previous fixes, added functions etc. As long as your BIOS version 1008 is the correct BIOS for your specific model of motherboard, it will include support given by version 1007.

I've checked the website. You have the latest BIOS for this motherboard. Version 1007 added support for Athlon64 3700+, version 1008 added support for Sempron 3100+. Your version 1008 is fine for the 3700+.
