hi i have installed aida32 as suggested and now know details. i have bought a 64mb game card with 8x agp, however i think the motherboard is running only at either 1 or 2x, i have been told that you can upgrade your motherboard to 4 or 8x, which does not require taking your computer to bits. Can anyone help and can anyone tell me where i find the details such as 1x 2x 4x 8x etc using aida32?? to upgrade i am told this mean going to manufacture site and downloading, but i do not know what file or type of fileit is that i am supposed to dl in order to upgrade. help if you can anyone.

appreciated.

you cant upgrade your mobo to x4 if it doesnt support running at that speed.

in aida click motherboard/chipset and look at "supported AGP speeds"below this should be the current speed set.

if it supports x4 and is only running at say x2 then you can set this in the bios or some radeon card can set this using smartgart.

control panel/display/settings/advanced/smartgart/setAGPspeed
