Could you list what you have at present. That would do two things

1) To see what would be a significant upgrade to your present system

2) to see if anything would be compatible with a newer system.

Also what would be your limit?

click here and have a look at what Novatech have to offer; any of these will give you a boost.

But you will very likely have to budget for a new case and PSU. You can keep the hard drives you have (but will need to reinstall Windows) as well as the DVD burner and sound card (although the sound card should not be necessary unless it is high spec).

Nice and easy box for £169. click here It could do with extra ram at some point.

Or for £97 you could have click here and stick an extra 512Mb of ram. It's a socket 754, older style motherboard, but still has bags of upgradability in it.

Any of those take your fancy or are you after something specific?

Not a bad motherboard, socket 754 and it has pci-e if you ever decided to upgrade the on-board graphics.

If your graphics card is AGP, it will not fit this board. click here

I think that you will need at least a new PSU if your current machine is as old as it seems; it may also need a new case but that is not quite so vital.
