Hi hello, I am going to replace my Nvidia Gforce 7.600 graphics card to a 8.600 for obvious games reasons, and at the moment I have an ASUS AMD Athlon 64X2 dual core processor 3800. Will I have to increase the size of the motherboard now and what do I increase it to. Is the motherboard that important to a larger graphic card and please explain why ?? Thanks for any help in laymans terms you can give me.

if you are using a pci expess 7600 a pci expess 8600 will fit into the motherboard slot the same way. if you are using a agp 7600 you will need a motherboard with a pci express slot to fit a 8600. some top of the range cards are longer and need a roomy case but they still fit in the pci express slot the same way.

Thanks for the info, and could you tell me if upgrading the motherboard would help run my games any better, as sometimes I have a prob with certain games, or is it just the ram and the graphics card that is more important?
