More than one Ethernet extension

I've extended my Ethernet to an upstairs bedroom from my virgin superhub 3. However I now want to further extend it into another room, again as a wired extension. Can I simply get a splitter and connect this new Ethernet to the one in the existing extension in the first bedroom? Thanks

No. You need an unmanaged switch. A 4 way one costs only £10-15.

Have you considered Home Plugs? You can get them with wifi and ethernet.

Yes but much more expensive.

@alanrwood

They are but much easier than installing extension cables and, usually, very effective.
