more than a little puzzled...

Hi guys,

I have started experiencing problems with one of my software packages Blender 3D.

I recently downloaded and installed 3 pieces of software, T3Desk, Krento and Rainmeter. I uninstall-ed the last two but kept the first. Its after downloading, installing and removing the above that the problems began.

I can start Blender without any problems and it will run fine. However when I close the program I get a strange message Blender.ex has stopped working, which is a little bizarre.

Here is a copy of the error report:

I have used tune-up utilities but to no avail and I am stumped.

Has anyone got any suggestions?

Do a 'System Restore' back to before you downloaded the 3 programmes. If 'Blender 3D' is working ok then reinstall 'T3Desk'. If Blender goes wrong again try uninstalling and reinstalling Blender. If it still isn't working correctly, I would suspect a conflict between the two programmes.

Hi Graphicool1,

Thanks for the reply, I have solved the problem.
After looking more closely at the error report it mentions QuickTime. So I uninstall-ed it and Blender is now working, almost. I no longer get the error message when I close it. However I cant set my user defaults.

I have removed Blender again, and will reinstall, that should hopefully fix the problem.

I don't think I will be using QuickTime again.
