More IE7 woe

  ivesy 12:13 18 Mar 2007

Just switched on the PC today and IE7 refuses to display any pages. I get the message 'the requested URL could not be retrieved'...'temporary network problem please try again later'.

I thought has just occurred could this be down to my ISP? SKY! Weird thing is I'm able to access the Internet with Firefox which is making me very confused!

Any ideas what's happening here?

It always was the default browser. I've got a feeling it's something to do the connection settings. I haven't changed them but I'm just grasping at straws here!

Resolved! I'm posting this in case anyone has the same problem.

I went into LAN settings in IE7 and unchecked 'auto detect settings', 'use a proxy server' and 'bypass proxy server.

It seems to work fine now.
