Monitor Resolution

Just been to a friend who has a TFT 19" monitor running on 1024 x 768.

Every time he boots the computer (running Win 98SE) the monitor comes up in 640 x 480 mode.

He changes it to 1024 x 768 and all is OK until the next time he boots.

Any reason why, having changed to 1024 x 768 and saved the settings, it should come up in 640 x 480 the next time he boots?

I had a similar problem a while ago...
To cut a long story short, some driver files for my Graphics Card were corrupt, and reinstalling sorted the problem out :-)

He decided to upgrade/update? to Win XP.

Seems to have solved the problem.

Will tick as resolved.
