I have an Asus 21.5" LCD monitor with HDMI, DVI, VGA ports I installed a new graphics card Nvidia GeForce 610 with HDMI DVI & VGA ports.
Set the monitor to HDMI and connected the HDMI cable but monitor just states HDMI no signal.
Tried connecting the monitor to my laptop via HDMI and immediate connection, so port on monitor working ok as is the cable.
I thought that the graphics were more or less dependent on the graphic card alone as opposed to the PC components???
My PC is an HP Compaq CQ5226 Dual core 2.6Ghz 4mb Ram
originally ran on Intel G41 chipset. MOBO Foxconn Eton 1.0 Bios Megatrends Inc 5.05 25/09/09
The Bios just quotes the graphic Card. No options to change anything.
Is there any way to get the Hdmi working please. Thanks
Try connecting the monitor back to the onboard graphics connector. See if it works ok. If so install the Nvidia drivers then reboot and connect back to the card.
You will need to go into the graphic settings and set the output to HDMI
Fruit Bat /\0/\ , how do you do that?
sounds like faulty graphics card or pc stopped working
