Monitor has gone yellow

I have an Acer Laptop running Windows XP home. Attached I have a 19" CRT monitor. All has been great, until I changed my power supply. I've bought a Belkin 8 socket surge protected board and currently have six plugs into it.

Today when I booted up the 19" CRT monitor has an awful yellow overlay. Colour is just not right. Everything OK with the laptop.

Can anyone please suggest a remedy.

This seems to be a failure of the blue gun in the CRT.

Check the cable connections at both the computer end and the monitor end to see if they are fully pushed home before looking any deeper.

It seems odd that this happened just after putting an anti-surge system in place and I suggest that the two are only indirectly related.

Phew - all that messing about with the wires yesterday meant that I had slightly dislodged the connection at the back of the laptop. Straightened it up and tightened the little screws - now everything back to normal.

Many thanks for such a fast response and resolution to my problem.
