Could anyone please advise on the following?

I have upgraded to XP and had my installed drivers checked by an online site.I am advised that the drivers for my HSP56 micromodem should be updated. I have found a site (conexant.com)from which they can be downloaded. The question is that as everything on my system seeems to be fine is there any advantage in getting these drivers bearing in mind that the original drivers need to be uninstalled first. I have visions of geting stuck if the new drivers don't work correctly.

Thanx Pootie

If it works then I would leave it alone.

Agree.

But if you do upgrade and have a problem, use the driver rollback feature in XP.

Who advised you in the first place?

Secondly you don't need to uninstall the current drivers - as Paranoid Android points out you will still have the facility to rollback to them if a new driver gives problems via Device Manager.
