How can i tell what mobo and cpu i have in a damaged pc? I can not boot it up and do not have any of the user manuals or original info and i can not find anything on the board itself to say what model it is. Thanks for help.

  loser7 21:28 25 Mar 2007

yup.. thats spot on skidzy you obviously know your onions.. i have just found no. behind modem it is an imperial board i think... does this need to be replaced by an identical board or just any other with 478 chip

I can help on this,i replaced exactly the same board before xmas... if you give me some time i will dig out the board i used...its a good sound reliable board from Asrock...

It should be a micro atx socket 478 that will take a pentium4 upto 3.0 ghz.

Be back soon.
