Missing shortcut

  bjantbear 19:45 23 Aug 2005

When I start my computer I get the following message

'The drive or network connection that the short cut "My Web search e-mail plug.ink" refers to is unavailable. Make sure disc is properly inserted or the network resource is available.

Any ideas on what is happening and how it can be corrected, please.

Hi bjantbear. I think it will take a bit of guess work to resolve this one. I think there is something in a start menu somewhere calling for "My Web search e-mail plug", but I don't recognize this title and I can't find any reference by searching the web. What I have found, however is a little nasty that can get onto a computer called "My Web Search", and I suspect that your computer has been, or is infected by this. Have a look here click here and see if it looks familiar.
