Missing Programs in Windows XP

  Werner 13:18 26 Jul 2005

Programs within Windows that are necessary for its functionality and interoperability can sometimes be deleted (inadvertently).

Can anyone tell me if there is a piece of software (Microsoft?) that will check Windows, identify the component programs that are missing, retrieve them for installation and possibly instal them?

Thanks for help.

click here This is built into XP and may not be exactly what you were after but it works for essential system files.

Depending on what programs you are referring to, going to Add/Remove Programs and opening Add/Remove Windows Components may be/provide what you require.
