On boot up the message
'Cant find module CMCNFGU.CPI
come to screen.
This has started since Microsoft saw fit to put in SP3- Nothing untoward is occurring.
Though it may be part of a program that I am not currently using.
A Google revealed nothing.
Any ideas anyone

PS - the reason your Google search revealed nothing is due to the fact that it is .CPL not .CPI

In the event having got nowhere and abandoned the voice recording project I had in mind.

Whilst doing something entitely different I got the 'Found New Hardware' balloon - then 'Iinstalled and working'
The system had found the USB Boom mic/Phone set
that had been working perfectly well.

Nothing to do with sounds at all - dratted USB had lost it self.
