Missing IP address.

When in command prompt no IP address is evident.

Any ideas?

No Idea what you are talking about. At command Propt you only get something like C:\

If you want to see your IP details at the command prompt in xp type ipconfig and press enter.

You'll now get your ip address listed to you.

After typing ipconfig the IP address is missing.

Could i try
in a DOS type
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew

Does this work for XP?

Those commands should work. Available options can be found using ipconfig /?
