Missing fonts on Windows XP Home

  Corringdon 16:01 01 Sep 2005

I've recently re-installed XP Home and find I only have about half the fonts available before I formatted the drive. It seems many of absentees are the 'elaborate' fonts like English Script, Smashed, Pagoda, etc.
Microsoft Knowledge Base suggests running %windir% and installing the required fonts from the installation CD. However, this informs me that no fonts are available on the CD. Puzzling!
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The fonts you mention are not ones that I know. Some programs install their own extra fonts so you may get them back if you install the programs you had before.

Thanks everyone. I copied the fonts folder from my laptop and it worked fine.
