Hello - I am a bit confused as to the requirement of 2 dll files namely IECONT.DLL and IECONTLC.DLL These files can be downloaded but have a warning on them that they are a part of Spyware. At the moment I am of the opinion that when certain spyware are removed these files are taken as well, anyone know how vital these files are.
I believe the files do not exist, and what you are seeing is normal - perhaps created by typographical errors in the programme's coding (the same thing happened with system file checker back when WindowsMe first came out).
I have not been able to find any evidence to the contrary. The files do not exist according to Microsoft's DLL database, nor do they appear in Technet, and an extensive web search and newsgroups search has not turned up anything apart from other people looking for them.

There is nothing wrong at the moment, just noticed that the files were unavailable in system information\internet settings\internet explorer\file versions, when I did a Google all sorts of stuff came up. It appears that these files are not required, I just wondered why there are sites offering these files for download. I am using ewido\spybot and adaware as well as NIS2004 and seem to be clean at the moment. This is one of the sites, very strange click here
