Evening jaybee340, which program is asking for the missing file? I think this file is part of ms exchange. If you are using this, you should be able to extract a fresh file from your installation disc.
message to Mr.Mouse thank you for your reply the programme which is missing the dll is uk info disk. This programme will not delete and will not work even after following instruction from the manufacturers of disc Help!!!! jaybee340
Hello again jaybee340, after having a good browse round the net, I'm still pretty sure that the missing file is from exchange (server). Now if info disc is asking for it, I am going to assume it's for one of two reasons.
1, the program itself needs it, in which case the installation disc should contain a version. If this is the case, it should be possible to extract a fresh file from the cd.
2, for some reason either the info disk version you have needs to have exchange installed, or it has been installed with an option to use exchange, which you do not have (I assume!).
There is another possibility, and that is that the file is on you hard disc, but cannot be found. Have you searched your entire drive for the missing file? If you have it, it can be moved to the install directory where it should be detected, or failing that to the system directory.
Perhaps in the mean time, it would be best if you could post back with details of your os and pc, and also what advice the makers of the prog have already given you. Also, what version of info disk is it, and what type of license (single or multi-user) do you have.
It is not a Win98 file, it may be that you have deleted a shared file when you removed a program from Add/Remove. if you know the program that's calling for the file then reload the software for that program
Right, after a bit more digging, I now belive the file is from a company called FiarCom Corporation, and this would make sense due to the application you are trying to use, who specialise in "small footprint databases". This would lead me to believe that the missing dll should be somewhere on your installation software.
However, as to why it is being called, I do not know, so I would still like to know the answers to my above questions. In the meantime, I am unable to find a download for you, as FiarCom do not support direct customer involvement.
This file should be already installed on your computer as it comes with UK info disk but as previously stated it maybe corrupt or you may have mistakenly deleted it. Look on your info disk if that fails I can e-mail you the file if you wish.
