Missing data on raid mirror

  co-rep 20:57 15 Nov 2006

My PC has a raid mirror setup (two maxtor 180gb drives). It has degraded in the past, but with the use of the NvidiaRaidman utility in Windows XP it's always been successfully rebuilt.

Yesterday, I stored some important audio data (I record bands) and confirmed at the end of the session that the files were indeed on my hard drive (D: partion). In fact, I relaunched my audio application and listened to the audio files again before shutting down.

Shutdown successfully.
This morning, powered up, the Raid has degraded, I rebuild as I have done previously, but now all of yesterday's data is gone.

I've run R-Studio data recovery and it can find deleted files from last year. Yesterday's files seem to have never existed.

Has anyone experienced this problem?
Any help, suggestions, solutions would be VERY welcome.

I will post more exact details of my hardware if needed.

Thanks in advance.
