Microsoft Word

I have windows xp and am satisfied with same.
Is Word a different program and where can I download it please?

Word is part of Office which can cost around £150 if you are a *student*.click here

You can download Open Office for free. It is similar and here

Word is the word processing part of Microsoft's expensive Office suite. You can't download it in the UK (though you can in the US) but if you want a free office suite that's compatible with Microsoft's document format, have a look at Open Office, which is an open-source project click here

If you are just typing letters etc., you will find little difference between Works, which is usually bundled with computers and Word. Works is basically a stripped down version of Office. You can get works cheaply from Ebay click here

Purchase a copy of OpenOffice but I cannot trace a spellchecker in same.
