had a strange event yesterday, i read in this forum of 5 updates from microsoft and although i have automatic update configured i thought i would have a look,at the time i was trying to resolve my pc running extremely slow sure enough after the scan i was told the 5 were required for my xp pro d/loaded all re booted and hey presto my sluggish performance vanished as well.

Just tried to download the updates, only to be told that none were available for my computer!(98SE)

But in the article poogles_uk mentions, 98SE is listed for one of the updates.

Tried last night at home. Only two criticals available. One for Outlook express, which I don't use, and one that apparantly should be installed if you have problems reconnecting to a server, which I also don't. So refused them. Auto update is turned off, so what happened to these other updates? I'm confused.
