Microsoft Updates!

I see that apparently yesterday, Microsoft released several critical updates, but when my computer is scanned only one critical patch was found, namely their Spyware tool, this in spite of them saying that there are many updates to be downloaded at this time.

Has anyone else had a similar result just now, when they go into Windows Update?

Is your computer set to Auto Update, you may alresdy have them. Look in Add/ remove programs. I got 10 this morning (On Auto)

No, I was set to download and install Windows Updates manually.

Rather strange!

I had nine but had to download manually although I am set up for automatic download

I'm running XP SP2 and had 9.

Perhaps if you don't have SP2 it makes a difference as to how many there are.

If they are updates/patches to SP2 installed items, there's nowt to update if you don't have SP2.

Just to clarify, I have XP Home SP2,In Add or Remove I am showing 8 updates, when they were downloading and installing it showed 10. I know that one was the removal toll which doesn't count and one was .network which I am not sure shows up in add or remove.

Received the Microsoft email when I switched on this afternoon. Ten updates for XP. Now installed.

Just for the record I would not touch SP2 on any of my machines and I had 8 updates on all.
