Microsoft Update won't install

  bazza11 19:26 26 Jul 2007

I am running Windows XP Professional and over the last 2 days Automatic Updates has tried to install Security Update for Microsoft NET Framework, Version 1.1 Service pack 1 (KB928366). Each time I get the message "Some updates could not be installed". How do I install this update, or stop it trying to install if it is not critical? Thanks.

I had the same problem for about two weeks, this was posted when I asked for help on here, it sorted it straight away.

Tried that, but didn't know where to look when I tried to download the program - I am not too well up on computers! Can you please take me through the steps if you have time? Many thanks.

the download is called "dialafix", download it to the desktop, unzip it, when you are ready, tick all the boxes and away it goes.
