Microsoft have updated the software for Windows Updates, took about 6 minutes on Broadband!

I went to Windows Updates and was directed to the new software download.

Trendy new look to the interface but no updates available for me! Seem to recall there was a few last week though. Took about an hour on a friends dial up at 26kbps!

Mine are automatic, I think it loaded some today.~~)

Just manually checked but nothing new at the moment.;-)

Thanks, I have the feeling that the other two posts missed the link

Not me - on XP Pro. Automatic downloads turned on so I never normally go to the download site, it does it automatically. (Probably does in any version of XP) When I saw the subject I went there manually and as I say, nice new interface - but the downloads had already been done! Dan was probably the same but perhaps never noticed.

Am I missing something as I see no ships?

  dan11 23:58 26 Jun 2005

Yes, mine are the same.

Yet I made a quick visit tonight and click here
click here. It was there for downloading. 3 minutes :-)

They must be millions of XP computers to update, so I suppoese it takes time.

Why it did not pick it up last night? The computer was off when it was due to automatically update today.

No, windows update took me straight to the link;-)

Is that windows updat V5?

  powerless 00:08 27 Jun 2005

No, V6.

You can choose to go back to Windows Update if you want once you've downloaded and installed Microsoft Update.

How do you get to V6?

  Pooke 00:19 27 Jun 2005

was 6 mins slow enough for you? ;) just joking!

Cheers but I never noticed it til now, it must have been automatic like the others are saying.

Goodnight all,

Pooke
