microsoft silverlight do i remove it?

As previously posted I am removing my free trial of microsoft office 2007 in order to load the new copy of office Enterprise that I bought. I have removed (as advised!) Microsoft Office and microsoft powerpoint viewer but I noted at the same installation date there is something called microsoft silverlight. I don't have a clue what it is altho' searching suggests something to do with web pages (!) but do I remove it as part of the Office suite or is it something completely different?
many thanks!

Nothing to do with Office , it is for better web viewing, . If you remove it , you can always er install latter if you wish when you have more info abut it

Installed it a little earlier just to try out Sky's on-line high definition coverage of Obama's inauguration.

Quite impressive although with a 40GB monthly limit not to be overused...:-)
