Hi guys and gals! A friend of mine needs to use Powerpoint at home for presentations at work and doesn't know how to use it. I have Office XP on CD which I am going to borrow him, but does anyone know of any websites that offer a beginners guide this powerful program? Thanks in anticipation.

"I have Office XP on CD which I am going to borrow him".

If you mean lend him, that's illegal.

The best thing to suggest with powerpoint is to load it and play first, and get used to it

Sorry VoG, yes I mean lend him or maybe even make him a copy, oh no sorry that illegal too!

Aren't there any learning tools out there that he can use before using it for work?

Mike1967, yes he is going to play with it first, but a help tool would be good as well.

Have you looked at microsoft's web resources?
they often have some articles & demos on getting started.

This page click here is a demo that lasts 40-50 mins and palys with a voiceover so if your mate has speakers & a sound card/onboard sound he can listen too :)

This is a link click here to a PDF file for a "Quick Reference" card on tips I found searching Google
The above applies to PowerPoint 2003.
