CaN I suggest you try Picassa 3 from Google, it is fast ,good and free.

One of the best and user friendly free Photo editing programs is Photoscape click here though does not edit Raw,Picasa is a raw viewer and editor and very good for a freebie.

Though this does not answer your question Sunny,it does give you something to look at maybe.

I would try FASTSTONE they have 4 versions depending on what you want to do, its very easy to use and I've found it very good.
