Microsoft Outlook problem

Hey guys!

I use Microsoft Outlook at work, recently changed from Outlook Express.

I have 2 accounts, a personal and a general enquiries one. The problem is that so many emails, on both accounts, i don't recieve. It seems to be completely random. This morning i had 2 emails, i clicked on Outlook Express and i had 8 - the same ones plus 6 extra.

The IT guy isn't any help - any ides??

Have you deleted the account in O Express?

It sounds as if the two accounts are checking the server, probably at different times, and one or the other is picking up the mail. Try cancelling the OE account.

What anskyber says is true if your emails are from POP3 accounts. Presume they are on your email providers server not coming from a mail server at work.

With POP3 accounts when downloaded by your email program the mails are deleted from the server so you won't see them in the second email program.

If you used Outlook first it should have downloaded all the emails then present. (Can you use webmail to check what is on the server before you run Outlook?)If some were missing in Outlook then check to ensure that all the accounts are set up properly.
