Microsoft Outlook (attachments)

Trying to send a photograph as a file attachment but when you click to open the attachment Outook states application not found.
Using Office XP
Anyone any idea what is wrong.

that the recipient can't open the image - or that you can't?

Has the image file got a proper file extension (.jpeg or .gif)?

Sent an email to myself to check it out and image wouldn,t open, photo in question is a gif file extention

Tools -options -security tab - untick box "Do not allow attatchments to be saved or opened..."

Within the security tab there is no box "Do not allow attatchments to be saved or opened..." to untick.

That's for Outlook Express, not Outlook.

Have you tried Detect and Repair on the Help menu in Outlook.

What happens if you save the attachment then try opening it?

Have done a detect and repair,reinstall still the same not able to save attachment
