Microsoft Office 2000

I need to repair my copy of Microsoft Office 2000, which is running on my computer and have the original cd, but not the cd case and Product Activation Key that I will need when attempting a repair.

Is there any way of finding this out when I have a working programme and the cd?

Open the Program and goto Help - Detect and Repair. It will ask for one of the disks but you shouldn't have to re-activate it.

Belarc will show all equipment software and licenses / product keys installed

Thanks for that, fruitbat, it's a very detailed report on whats on my computer.

But it only shows the Product License number, and not the Product Activation Key. I thought the two were different?

To do a repair on Office 2000 should be OK provided you have the CD. The Product Activation Key will not be needed for a repair, but it is needed if you are doing a new install.

I have Office 2k Premium, rest assured that the repair process will not ask you for the PAK.
