Microsoft Net Frameworks.

I would be very grateful for any advice re; the following.

I installed a trial version of Nikons Capture NX2 Photo Editing software.

Soon afterwards there were problems with various functions and in particular the main viewing screen which sometimes would not show my pictures full frame. And also the picture info which appears at the top of the viewing frame would show up double.

Before buying the full version I contacted Nikon Help Centre for advice. They said the problem could be that I have Microsoft Net.Frameworks 1,2,and 3 installed on my computer. They suggested removing versions 1 and 3 and just keeping version 2 which the progarm needs.

Before removing the items (which for seems a major task)I would appreciate any advice from the forum members.

I already have Nikon Capture NX1,Photoshop Elements 6,Portrait Pro,and Paint Net., that work perfectly well.So would any of these programs be affected if I remove the Frameworks 1 and 3.In which case I will probably leave well alone and keep things as they are.

Many Thanks,Tony.W.

There should be no harm in removing 1 and 3 via Control Panel Add/Remove.

You can always reinstall them if necessary from the Microsoft website.

By the way ATi's Catalyst for its graphics cards requires iNET Framework to operate correctly.
