Microsoft Games Missing

Tried to have a game of Solitaire earlier but all of our Microsoft games have gone. The PC we have has windows xp in the sytem - we do not have a cd.
What can we do to get the games back?
Is our only option to do a system recovery?
That will mean having to reinstall all extra programs afterwards - which could take ages!

Borrow a Windows XP CD.

Start, Control Panel, Add or Remove Programs. Click on Add/Remove Windows components in the left hand pane.

System restore does not affect any program installed before the restore point chosen.

If I remember correctly, if you Add the games from Add/Remove Windows Components (CP>Add/Remove Programs>Components>Accessories>Games, XP should reinstall them from the system files.

Worth a try.
