Keep getting an e-mail from Microsoft Corporation advising of a new upgrade. However, Norton Antivirus tells me that it has a virus attached so I quarantine it and then delete it from Outlook. Anyone any idea whats going on?

Bill's too busy to send out emails uninvited. It's a virus.

Yes, The attachment contains a very nasty virus.
The mail is not from Microsoft. They do not send e-mails to customers.

Thanks good people. Clicked on it the other day without Norton picking it up and downloaded and installed the update. Took about half an hour on broadband. Have run Norton virus check on all drives and is saying all clear. Do I need to worry?

Update Norton asap and then rescan.

Sounds like Norton is out of date!!!

Sorry, no Norton pick up anything on the original notification but has on subsequent ones. Have ensured it is up to date and rescaned. Also run stinger and not showing anything. However, I am receiving about 5 e-mails a day now with virus warnings.
